Hannes had his first contact with Haskell during one of his Bachelor’s courses. Drawn by Haskell’s simplicity in expressing seemingly complex algorithms, he proceeded to use Haskell wherever possible, in university assignments as well as in his private projects. After years of studying, Hannes got involved in open source work on Haskell tooling, and it quickly became his favourite thing to develop. Since then, he has been involved in many Haskell projects, such as GHC, HLS and cabal, as well as being an active member of the community and taking part in various hackathons.
Hannes completed his master’s degree on Effect Systems at the Vienna University of Technology.
